"When Temporary Becomes the Ordinary: _ /_ Days of War for Ukrainian Women" Exhibition

The National Human Rights Museum in Taiwan has curated a special exhibition called "When Temporary Becomes the Ordinary: _ /_ Days of War for Ukrainian Women". This exhibition is a collaboration between several museums and groups in Taiwan and Ukraine, showcasing how Ukrainian women have lived through the war brought on by the Russian invasion.

The exhibition features materials from the Museum of Women's and Gender History in Kharkiv, including diaries and recordings of women's experiences during the conflict. These materials highlight the challenges that Ukrainian women and other vulnerable people have faced due to the Russian invasion.

Additionally, the exhibition includes the documentary film #HearOurVoices, which is based on testimonies of Ukrainians living in Taiwan one year after the invasion began. The film asks eight simple questions that reveal a range of emotions and feelings that people in Ukraine have learned to cope with in the past year.

For a limited time at the Museum, visitors can also experience Mariana Savchenko's performance titled #InnerShelter. This performance uses sound installations based on soundscapes recorded by Mariana before she came to Taiwan, capturing the essence of life before and after the invasion.

Come and see this special exhibition!
